Because of anime I’ve had some laughs, shed some tears, been confused, lost countless hours of sleep, and I can’t get enough. Although now I’m not a huge fan of that particular anime I’m extremely grateful towards it because it opened me up to this diverse world. My first anime ever was Marchen Awakens Romance (MAR).
My love for anime first started when I was about eight years old and Toonami on Cartoon Network came on. There’s Action, Romance, Comedy, Sports, Drama, Mecha, Slice of Life, Shounen, Historical, Science Fiction, Shoujo, and Adventure anime! Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Ace of Diamonds, Clannad After Story, Bakuman, Soul Eater, Hajime no Ippo, Haikyuu!, Ao no Exorcist, Attack on Titan, Death Note, Sword Art Online, Gurren Lagann, and so many more! Anime takes you into an entirely new world that actually influences your emotions and appeals to so many different people. Yowamushi Pedal isn’t the only production that does that for me though. The fact that companies like TMS Entertainment and TOHO animation, the producers of Yowamushi Pedal, are able to make bicycling entertaining is extraordinary.

I myself have never had any interest, nor do I know anything about, competitive biking, Tour de France, or Lance Armstrong however, when I watch this particular series it has my undivided attention. Man, I was wrong! Yowamushi Pedal is an awe inspiring anime and incredibly entertaining.
When I first came across this anime I envisioned it was going to be the LAMEST anime production ever. His intentions were changed when he met Shunsuke Imaizumi, a bicyclist, who acknowledges his talent as a climber. Here’s an example: Yowamushi Pedal, and its second season Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road, follows Otaku Sakamichi Onoda, a first-year highschool student who intended on joining the anime club.
An ability to take any situation and make it absolutely entertaining. With a will of iron, Ippo steps into the ring once again.
